Yeah, Harkerville is R 30 or R 35 per person. Not too sure what their budgetary constraints are though.

To be honest, I'm not too sure what Tokai's budgetary constraints are either.

I really really enjoy my night rides again, even if the baboons seem a little more agro these days.

If I were a Tokai baboon, I'd also be aggro. Daily there'a a bunch of humans up there with vehicles making noise, belching diesel fumes, removing the vegetation(some of whch provides them with shelter)  and changing the landscape with tools which make a helluva noise and changing the world they know. Can't blame them, really.

Sunday morning one of my buddies got there at 6am. He told me there was a queue. Which means there was a bouncer. When I got there an hour later there was nobody. Its seems like they just randomly decide when they going to be there or not.

Heh. How to effectively ensure that your clients have the stuff with them all the time. Randomised checks.

I believe it costs less than what they say it does

yeah, on open conversation I'd agree, unless I were speaking to their auditors / financial managers. Even then the round figure calculator would most likely surface.

Anyway... It's not just for Tokai, that R 60. It's for the entire mountain where cycling is permitted.

I think it more likely that they run off for a coffee or to the loo or even are escorting folks to the other office or something. I think once they're there, there is no randomisation going on.

Interesting you should say that. I have seen plenty of times people just qouting the number, so maybe it has changed since

Or standing at the hut with R60k worth of bike, begging to be let in free to "Have a quick look" and then only coming back down two hours later.

and it's pretty USELESS anywhere else. They can go get stuffed if they ask me for my permit in while riding with my daughter in lower Tokai.
