Single Speed Rigid 'friendly'?

Yes,

The only section that is a wee bit dubious is going ou the school grounds before the tree line. But it's so short your arms will not even notice.

The more pressing decision is gearing.

Personally, I may opt for a more forgiving gear at the back.. specifically for the hours between 4:30 and 5:59

32*20? I guess it depends on the legs .....

Two years ago I rode 34-17 on 26inch.

I cramped like a motherf.....

The ups arent that steep that you cant get up them. It's a slow steady climb from the bottom of the treeline back into the school. 18 may be a good balance between speed and climbing efficieny. I might pack a 20 in the toolbox for halfway...depends on how I feel on the bike leading up to the race (at the moment that feeling is not great)

But like you say - all depends on the legs.

Mmmmmm think I'll just go with my 32*18 (29r) and see how it goes ...

Any of you guys have the lap distance from the previous years?

Between 6 and 7km a lap. Big Ben I did the race on a 32/18 last year and found it okayish.

Its on the same date as the 36One.

Thats miff as i train a 20+km loop through delta and Emmarentia.

I see the work thats been done , nice guys, you have used the big sand drop offs well. I will help to run the jumps in for you:)

Mabie il do the race next year... or do you have another delta dash in this year again?

Really wish it could be the weekend after the 36One, then i could go straight into the race without having to train further...just a though and a wish!

I hope the event is KICK ASS, i heard its fun!!

Great news....our liquor license has been approved. So we have a barista making great coffee for the morning and will have nice cold beers for the afternoon. Doesnt get much better - coffee, cold beer, free leg rubs and 6 hours on a bike!!
