I don't have much choice since it's the only bike I have. That said I've found it to be a good experience.

No man, dont do it.I am aiming for a sub 4 on my 26" with Maxxis Crossmark tyres.Might be a bit of a strech, but acording to my training it should be possible.[emoji48]

As for the OP,I am in kind of the oppiste corner, have done 1500km up until last week tuesday when I got sick.Got back on the bike on Monday for a training ride and had to work late the rest of the week.I am really hoping to get in a few more decent rides over the weekend and during next week.Hope you find the motivation to get some training in or just forget racing and ride for fun.It is 'The World Funride Champs' after all.

Sorry Ben, it's already a done deal. I actually kinda need the slicks as I got a late entry into the 'Funride World Champs' and don't have much training done. Good luck with your quest and I sincerely hope you get your time bud!

+13kg Anthem Dual 29er,...it's gonna be ALL about scenic for me! even with a 6:27am start ;)

Ha ha, famous last words that. With a 06.27 start you are going to do it faster than you think because you'll just be swept along! Suffer and enjoy. :)

I feel I have to come clean on this one, after finding out I have a horrible 9:48 starting time,I was presented with the oppertunity to purchase a older road bike from a friend and I gave into the temptation. Therefore I will now be on my GT roadie instead of the GT 26" to try and get through all the traffic and still attempt a sub 4.

Sell out!!!!!!

Just joking! Enjoy the ride. That I think is the most important thing with the Funride World Champs.

So excited!

Going to ride the SS, when else will I be able to say I did the Argus on a SS?

Starting 20 min ahead of my partner and my mother - their challenge is to try catch me.

Great Sani training, have fun Nixm and please carry the good wishes of us northerners to the people of the mother city. No matter how tough it may seem now the sun will rise in the east and in time all things will return to the way they should be.
