Almost ! Blame the altitude .lol

Apologies if I offended anyone, but freedom of speech is what I was born in to.

The Twitter ride I enjoyed more :P got a selfie with powerful Pasio, so that was my highlight of the event.

DC now that's a fun ride! ;)

Rant over.

Once upon a tydperk there was a groot beer........a mamma beer...... and a baba beer.....

Goue Lokkies was a tjerrie not unlike any other tjerrie you will find in Danville.....she veered off in to the woods and saw pappa beer roaming amongst the daisies.....pappa beer looked up and saw her beautiful face and the love was instant.......he started kissing her....the two were so overwhelmed with love.....they totally missed mamma beer racing towards them in her F 650......pappa beer pushed Goue Lokkies to get out the way and took all the impact from the F 650......mamma beer devastated jumped out and saw a heartbroken Goue Lokkies.......she felt bad and said "You can be Thelma and I will be Louise and together they drove the F 650 off the cliff.

Baba beer was sitting in the garden when a lumberjack with a beard not unlike the mane of a lion walked up to him and asked him why he was so lonely.......baba beer was full of tears and the lumberjack known as Jopie Adam decided to  adopt him......the rest is history .

Truth of the fact.....we all have a *** story to tell and whenever we think we are a groot meneer beer......something will bring us back down to earth just to remind us that......we are all special .

LOL   love it how Gary got the actual "P" group start...don't rant about being re-seeded to 7h20 and then fall back by your own will to 7h35 and then moan about the "k@k" riders you have to force yourself through

The Hubbers, as mentioned, are a Cycling community and not old tannies sitting on a stoep complaining that the tea we made half an hour ago is cold...except on Friday's :whistling:  but that's another story...let's not go there!!!

Also had a brief chat to the one oke at the stand and he didnt know about 4Shaw socks! SO need to remind him to look into those  ^_^

Nope, you could not have passed everyone in L. There were finishes in the L group with times of 2h59.

This is starting to remind me of some other thread on here where there's also talk of "multiple defences".

M'lady... :P

As I understand there is great unhappiness about the cut off times being moved with 45 minutes, sorry if you guys have already touched on this subject.

I was just wondering if anyone (or someone you know) might have been affected by these cut off time changes.

I know a couple of people who were. Apparently it was only around 150 people according to whomever runs their Facebook account.

I did the math and these two wouldn't have made it anyway. Average speed of under 15km/h over the first 45km. With the heat and wind they were likely in a fair bit of trouble.

Understandably people are disappointed but I think if they knew what the last 20km was like, they'd be grateful.

I'm sure if Tanya Harford wrote to those affected, apologised, said it was a balls-up and offered them a free entry for next year all would be fine?

Not sure how they'd all be identified though?
