This does cause a bit of a bottleneck, especialy where you drop off through the little creek. Thereafter there is enough time on the farm roads / jeep tracks to get the pecking order sorted before the climb starts. It is a rocky climb up to the mast, but not too hectic. The descent on the other side needs to be taken with a big dose of caution. Rocky, off camber, fast, etc.Rest of the route is a dawdle. One short sandy section of about 500 meters (I've ridden it both years I did the race, but there were lots of people pushing) and the portage through the river following a nice little ST section.
