Here we go again! So the results again won't be a true reflection.

We were a couple of guys who also went wrong somewhere on the route. Luckily we realized and turned around so only about 2min lost. I enjoyed the race

These things happen, none of us lost a Million ZAR in prize money, so let's not allow it to take away from the Priviledge and Fun we have to ride these Fun Rides! apart from the top three, we are only racing against ourselves in anyway! #happydays!#diebraaitjopgaannoulekkeraf!

Failed to see the sign pointing left into the nice trail by the river, and ploughed into the hideous bog that used to be a river. Never had anything in my car that smelled as heinous as my shoes, as I had to climb off to extricate myself from my stupidity. But the 40km was great fun otherwise :)

Seems like there was confusion from organisers. Some of the long route were detoured onto the medium route as the cut off was brought forward by an hour erroneously. Some unhappy back markets lost out on 20km. Glad i was not one of them.

Btw I believe there was a wrong turn taken somewhere by some guys. I can confirm our group took all the arrows into account. I clocked exactly 64km on my Garmin.

I was one of about 10 riders. It happened at the river crossing just before the single track.  None of us saw the sign in the shade under the tree and proceeded on a nice 1km 10% ascent until we hit a dead end in a farm yard.

Same place where we missed the trail

mmm now I know where & I don't blame you, I actually also nearly took the wrong turn there but luckily realised it immediately & corrected myself in the right direction. Well you get to have a good finish time & rode less km's win-win situation.

I wonder what the real winning time was?

The first two on the Racetec results page were MG riders who were placed on the middle of the pack in the last few races....hmmm

Well done to everyone who completed this race.

The route was by no means tough but if you want run with the big dogs you can't piss like a puppy, needless to say I got dropped up the climbs with my 36T 1x10, left bleeding through my eye balls. Cramped in the final kilometre.

Lots of recovery for me to do & plenty of "homework" to be done.

haha not everyone that does these fun rides has done the Epic  Milky ;) Im sure it was tough for lots of other peeps

if I have to guesstimate I would say faster than those 2 who are currently sitting 1st & 2nd on Racetec Results page.

Yip Milky - at the dam after the descent off the main climb there appeared to be a mix up. The marshals said I needed to turn right but there were people coming from the left. Ended up with 60km but enjoyed the ride nevertheless.

well Done Nonetheless, I'm sure you were miles ahead of the 2nd place lady anyway.
