Hi Hubbers,

a quick question I put my bike in the car after a night ride and next day found oil leak on the rubber mat. First thought it was from brake calipers but looking at stanchions and top of dust seals looks to be excessive oil is this a problem or normal more worried about the small pool of oil on the car mat.

Your seals are gone.  Get it serviced ASAP!

Thanks is that standard for a bike 10 months old I ride 3-4 times a week used to be Tokai

If I'm not mistaken Fox recommend a oil and seal change every 40hrs (Riding conditions dependant).

Its easy enough to do a seal and oil change yourself, no special tools needed at all.

Seal kit is around R380.00. You can use the original Fox oil (10W for my Fox) Or a similar 10W oil (Yamalube, etc) About R90.00 for the Yamalube.

This will do for a Lower oil change service.

DO Not strip the Air cartridge out and attempt to service that, that is a whole other ball game.

Google your exact model, there are loads of YouTube videos and Fox has all the oil volumes on their website.

Lower Leg service took me around 40Mins and it really isn't rocket science.

Yip, more than possible.  It just takes a bit of dirt getting in there to stuff them up.

Get it sorted quickly though, otherwise you end up with this inside:
