Tech skill and rider weight - does it make a difference?

This has got a lot to do with core strength as well as I assume that you lost weight as a combination of eating better and training better? Core strength makes a moer of a difference on tech sections as your overall balance an posture is just better on the bike you are lower down lower c of g etc.

Very valid point.

Core strength in cycling is quite interesting: You need a strong core to be quick on your bike, for better cornering and the tech sections, but riding your bike does not train your core at all. You have to do exercises off the bike to train your core. So spending time on your bike might help you shed weight, but it wouldn't necessarily make you faster on the tech stuff.

Sure but as I said my weight loss is not from more or harder time on the bike but purely from 'eat less poo more'
