Pivot bearing noise

I’m on my third full sus.

This one is unique the bearing pivot noise just keeps coming back.

I have changed the pivot bearing with the recommended full complement bears, however the noise is the distinctive metal bearing case rubbing on carbon fibre noise.

I am thinking that side pressure of pedalling is causing it, as the bearings are new, maybe my installation technique is wrong.

I am pressing the bearing in and lube the bearing and carbon insert with grease, should they go in dry or maybe a bit to lock tight to secure them in position.

Has anyone got any ideas.

I'm afraid to mention that as it may deter from the facts, and one fans of one brand bashes the other, the concept should remain the same.

You may find someone else has had the same problem etc if you mention the frame. I wouldn't worry about brand bashing too much though!

I was under the impression bearings should go in dry? Did you install the new bearing or a bike shop?

Have you also given the bike a 100% check over, a creaking/funny noise I had on a DS bike was actually a snapped chainstay that you couldn't see normally as it was hidden behind the BB, 2 x frames, had the same  problem twice within a year!

I had this problem a year ago.

After removing an cleaning (one by one and test riding to check) pivots, chain ring bolts, head set even seat and seat post I eventually found that the pivot joint just above the BB was not very tight.

Cleaned this pivot joint and tightened to correct torque, problem solved and have not had a creak since.
