The corridor to Hoogies from Contermans is on the gravel road which leads out from the coffee shop. Just continue on straight over and down the hill to Vissershok Road, then hook a left and carry on for around 900m. Remember that it's a members only corridor, so if rogue riders are seen, escort them to the correct locations please.

Is that the one that comes out at Vissershok by the busstop? haven't used that "corridor" yet since they closed the old one

Thanks Karl - I'm not tubeless yet - do I need to worry about thorns?

I have been running on TJOOOBBS since November last year and had no issues as yet on the Tygerberg trails.

Still going to convert the bike, just that I have not made the time yet (read could not be bothered) as the current setup is working just fine.

Do take a spare tube and patches with you just for incase though, and stay off the grass.

Yes darelinp, that is a members only corridor (as it bypasses the honesty box for contermanskloof and it is a private road which the club has negotiated access to). Sadly the signage was all removed but will be replaced soon.

It is indeed the one. Just remember to carry some "sweets" for the local kids hanging around there over the weekend. Those kiddies faces are priceless when they get treats, and they run along next to you as you ride..As for the stretch of tar, there is a bit of a single track forming on the grass berm next to the road as the guys traverse up and down it, much like the bit from Meerendal into D'Ville - Just watch your head passing under the big road sign.

Please DON'T give the kids sweets. It creates a precedence and encourages begging (and I've been on the receiving end of a nasty punch from a farm kid after not giving sweets). Rather give any donations to the primary school on the corner of Vissershok and Malanshoogte road.

After you have photo or videographed them so we can name & shame them publicly & get them banned from all races & enlisted on the "rogue rider lists" managed by amarider, yes?

Yes. Also time to upgrade from tape cassette to MP3/FLAC. :)
