I'm in B but will no doubt be taken over by the racing snakes in C shortly after starting the Coetzenburg climb. The late start is excellent news for someone like me who cycles to the start. Now I only have to leave home at 8:15

Not convinced that they have their seeding system up to scratch! On the website they list four races that they use for the seeding, of which I did two and finished in the overall top 30 in the one and top 100 in the other, yet I am seeded in "C"

Not racing for the win by any means, but getting stuck behind slower riders on the singletrack is on one sure way to kill my vibe.

Is it just me that thinks that it doesn't make sense?

Under the FAQ section of http://dieburgermtbchallenge.co.za/

13. How is my seeding calculated and who is seeded?
The 15km & 30km funrides are seeded on a first come, first serve basis – so enter early!
The 42km, 50km & 60km riders results from the following Dirtopia events will be taken in consideration: Die Burger MTB Challenge 2014, Staalwater 2014, Spur MTB Classic 2014 & Amarider 100 Miler 2015. Riders can also send a request mail to info@dirtopia.co.za BEFORE 20 JULY with other recent race results to prove that they are capable & strong riders. One start group for the 75km riders.

Remember Dirtopia uses their own results database and seeding system. This is because they had, erm, uhm.... differences... with Racetec in the past due to questions about accuracy.

Don't worry, if you can climb hard, by the time we get to singletrack you will not be stuck behind any slower riders...

Climb hard!!!

Was there to collect my entry. Entered the 60km and got an 50 km race entry. A quick word with them and it was rectified. B group like last year. The reason most guys did not get an sms was cause their cell numbers were not listed on the entry. The lady on the switchboard had her hands full in this regard. Its gonna be wet. :whistling:
