Gone back to road

Not my decision, just my fault. Too many falls on mtb over 20 years = spine and neck that don't connect. So I sold my gorgeous tarted up Trance and bought a Spez.

Back in the day I raced with the boys in the souf'. Brilliant times watching the Idol and his tantrums! Now I live in the wild west and am finding that fabulous road vibe again (and some of the most appalling drivers). Challenge is.. the legs have seen 60 summers so life moves a bit slower with heavy breathing of the wrong type.

Anybody else made the jump back in time?

Very good decision.  I sold my mtb.  This falling and crashing thing almost every ride, just isnt for me.  Welcome back to real cycling

When I saw all the horror stories of broken bone and dislocated joints, etc., I decided never to even bother with off-road.  28 months later, I have 17300kms of tar behind me!

Did the Panorama tour week back.

Tucked into a tight little bunch doing 80kmh and the next moment heart hammering on a climb as you try to hold a bunch on a long 8% climb. Four days of it heaven.

Love road racing. But the accidents can be quite painful. Worth for me.

Here we go again, "My dad can lift a washing machine",..."Well my dad can lift a Fire truck"...."But my......."

To bring it back to the OP,..Enjoy your two wheels OP, in whatever format, that's what it's all about!

Bikes are meant for the road. If you want to spend time in the bush, take a walk.

Don't quite recall saying anything about Road or mtb, and that saying is true for both.
