Fulcrum Red Metal 3 Air Leak

It is a UST rim, so there's no spoke holes.  I did put on some rim tape but it is still doing it through the drain hole.

I checked - everything is fine at the valve as the air isn't leaking through there.  I just wonder if some has experienced something similar.

That hole cannot be your leak if it is a tubeless rim. You should not need rim tape either. Have a look for a bad seal elsewhere.

I don't think it is the hole either but that's where the air is coming through - how would the rim be repaired? Sealant or welding?  I just want to know what I should let myself in for.

Well I don't see any damage to the rim itself, except a few scratches here and there.  I have placed a new valve in, but it leaks air there first (unless I tighten it really tight) then it leaks through the hole on the side.

If it is the valve hole, how difficult will a repair be?

I developed a valve leak on the weekend, its not the same rims but damn annoying when it happens.

Retaped, changed valve and it just would not seal. Ended up putting a tube in for Yesterday's ride.

Going to drill it out slightly tonight to get a better valve fit.
