R4V & D2D Entries now open

I just got a mail saying the R4V entries are open

Then went on to cycle events and saw D2D entries are also open and they both on the same day 13 September 2015??

 

I also see the D2D has a new route, such a pity they are one the same day? Do you think they will change the dates?

Just picked that up too - 13 September not 14 though.

 

No details on the new route fro D2D but lets hope they sort it out, will be nice to do both

The D2D is probably the worst race I did last year. A ripoff at R300 and the organisation, lack of bike marshals and flag marshals sending licensed riders on detours was a joke. I'll definitely do the R4V instead if I have to choose even thought the climbing route of the D2D suites my style more.

It will be I always prefer the more hilly rides as most races in jhb are less than 10% climbing

Was really looking forward to doing the 150 km R4V and if we can have another long one for D2D that is also hilly it would be awesome

agreed but I think because of the complaints they changed the venue to Heia.

but im with you if I have to choose it will be R4V. The value for money we got at R4v is incomparable to the D2D race

I see the new start is at Heia rather than the hospital

Last year was the same story, they will move the dates. One is in the far south the other on the west rand so they will kill each other if on the same day. Last year D2D was first and then it was R4V in the end, two separate weekends

Bad planning again.

Kremetart was recently moved a weekend earlier because of a clash with a vets tour on same weekend. Then last weekend there was panorama, tour durban and joburg 2C all over same weekend.

At least for next years CTCT we got a years warning it was moving a week earlier!
