LazyTrailRider Posted May 15, 2015 Posted May 15, 2015 Stay away from Easton hubs, they're terrible. I had a set of Havens, the perceived quality and ride feel is amazing, but the freewheel body started slipping after about 600km and was never the same even after multiple rebuilds.

Also looking for new wheelset, AC wide lightning was the choice, but the more I read, the single best upgrade is carbon wheels... Light Bicycle wheels seems a affordable option.
taito Posted May 16, 2015 Posted May 16, 2015 Was interesting to hear Phillip Buys say at the epic they run alu hoops to help with snakebite .The thinking is that the alu will bend a little first ,where the carbon is really solid.

G
