Hi,

I have been out shopping for a new / second hand MTB.

I am no hardcore trail rider (I've never been on one :w00t: ), but just looking for a reasonable priced MTB for general use / excersise.

There is a "Titan Trail 29er" at Bouwer Broers that sparked my interest and well within my spending bracket (no more than 8k)

Criteria / must have:

Large to xLarge frame

29" wheels

Disk Brakes

Dual suspension not a must. I am on normal road / Dirt road mostly.

I am a total noob when it comes to what is available these days, I've seen some very confusing stuff on the internet and magazines, but learning with time...

There is a very nice 29" Large frame Titan Trail at Bouwer Broers here in our area within my spending bracket.

Any reviews toughts on this MTB please?

Can't go wrong with this one. Decent components for that price. Bought mine in mid March(21" 29er) and have put a decent amount of kms on it, good luck getting me off the damn thing!

Taken this bike through the motions and it always comes out on top. Do a fair amount of trail riding and XC, during the week and weekends, so had a chance to really get a good feel for the bike. It's very strong and sturdy yet not too heavy, decent components for the price tag so you won't be disappointed, and the air shocks add a nice touch to the package. I Sound like I work for Titan, but from my experience, this is a really good bike. . No issues with it so far (touch wood).

Doing my tubeless conversion next week with slightly wider tyres(Maxxis Ardent & Crossmarks), so will let you know how that goes.

All in all, awesome bike at an awesome price, so you won't regret it. If you do decide to go with this one, have a chat to the guys at Solomons Cycles in Woodmead, he gave me a very good price on mine.

For years I rode a Makro special. This year i wanted to step it up a bit, so my wife bought me a Titan Comp 29er for R11k.

Awedome bike. I have hammered this thing and it keeps going. No complaints.

Did the tubeless conversion on Mon as well as a service. In preparation for the Monster. My Titan didn't let me down yesterday.

Thank you.

I did some phoning around today for pricing.

I also figured that I am definitely a size XL. (23") frame.

Having the option to upgrade is great news (tubeless) :w00t:

I am convinced that these Titan bikes is a good start.

I took it too Klerksdorp last weekend and quickly added some 21km's.

It is really comfortable compered to my old Nishiki.

Thanks for the help here. I am really happy with my purchase.
