I had a Spez Tarmac followed by two Roubaix's and I enjoyed them all thoroughly. I now have the Bianchi Infinito CV with Campag Record and I believe it is in a different league. You have to ride it to understand and whatever they have done in constructing that frameset is really awesome.  

 

Nothing against Spez but the Bianchi is special.

I would go to the shop and tell them your heart wants the Bianchi but you are struggling to justify the extra 10K. 

See what they do, doesn't have to be a deal breaker if they don't go down but worth a shot.

Quite interesting the following Bianchi enjoy. Makes me think of the words of the great motorcycle designer Massimo Tamburini:

 

"There are lots of great bikes in the world, but the MV Agusta is something else."

 

There's a reason why his called the Michealangelo of motorcycle design. The Italians just have it when it comes to design. They are such a passionate bunch.

 

Think Louis Vuitton, Dolce & Gabbana, Versace, Salvatore Ferragano. Lamborghini, Maserati etc.

 

I don't have to ask the missus to explain why she has this fetish with Italian handbags cause I'm exactly the same with Italian bikes.

 

I can go on about their art and architecture but I think you get the point.

 

Now then, if you don't get the Bianchi. Well....
