The Cycle tour website shows there partners who transport bikes down you drop it off in JHB and pick it up at the expo. You hand it back after the race and pick it up in JHB about R1 000. Cheaper option is the airways, but you need to box it and pack it well as they tend to get damaged if not packed well. You also need to make sure if flying with the airways, how you fit it into your rental car on the other side.

I swear by Assos Equipe it fits me perfectly and have tried all sorts of bibs. They last three times as long as cheap brands so you will definitely get your moneys worth. Different bibs fit different bodies Assos fit mine. R2500 for a bib sounds expensive but I ride every weekend and watt bike regularly and probably get 2years + out of it so I would say good deal. Cycle Lab has some good deals at the moment if you take two. Find someone else who is looking for a bib and you will get a good deal there. I just bought two pairs of the Equipe at R2 400 per bib. The Mille is even cheaper and just as good.

Hi Cava if it was a request I would not have mind. It was not it was push me straight off the road on two occasions and then the attitude came.

Cycle Lab need to address the bullies in the bunches. I was out there Saturday and probably the 3rd or 4th cycle lab group came past. I was minding my own business in the yellow line and some asshole tried to push me off the road twice. Giving me some story about how I should drop back behind the group. The cradle and the cycle lane is for everyone you asshole. Idiots like you give the whole group a bad name.

These guys sound great I think I will have to try them. I live in Fourways and have just bought a Venge but am having second thoughts about the store in Cedar square. Sounds like I need to take a drive to PTA I might just be happier there.

Buy her the one she likes as it will probably only be ridden a couple of times.My wife has the Merida 29er full XT ridden three times had it 8 months. Silverback with 105 groupset ridden twice in 8 months. If she enjoys and continues to ride you can always upgrade.

Hey Byron, I rode the cradle last weekend on my road bike it did not look like that trail is open yet. I saw signs saying please dont use the trail until officially open. By the way hows the wife enjoying the Merida?

Go for the giant great specs. great frame and value for money. You then dont have to upgrade at all. You have a decent bike good specs and it will last years.

I have not seen the Silverback so cannot comment. I saw the Merida in the window in cycle science broadacres. Great frame looked like carbon to me awesome looking bike. Ride both and then make your choice.

Can anyone recommend what I should get? If I get the garmin I would have to get a Garmin F70 as well to use when I spin. The Polar I could use on the road bike and mountain and spinning. I just dont like wearing a watch. Is there anything else out there that I could use
