Out of two bikes I have no hesitation in recommending the Tallboy.

Any particular reason for going for the Epic? May be more beneficial to go for something like the Camber if you want to stay in the Spez stable. It's a far more capable bike, and unless you're racing for position I'd not suggest the epic, tbh...

Different for everybody Captain. I had a Camber and absolutely hated it. Traded it on a Epic and its fantastic. Why does everybody think a Epic is only a serious race bike? Its much easier to ride than 99 percent of the hard tails you see out there. Its not much different to a Giant anthem tbh. It also climbs a lot easier than a camber, cause its a lot lighter and has the brain.

Like I said, everybody is different.

To get back to the question, if I had to chose now, I would go WC. I like the 1 x setup more, it has enough travel, and looks stunning.

True, JB but then you know your stumpy is your true love :)

And agreed. Of the 2, world cup.

I would recommend checking out the Spez Camber and the Spez Stumpjumper too.

Unless you know exactly what you're buying, don't get talked into an Epic before AT LEAST riding all three models.

Most bike shops have open days where you can ride all their models - I know that Complete Cyclist does Spez open days occasionally.

Hi, had an epic, but frame crack.

So warranty only allows me for above.

I cant agree more. He SHOULD go with a Scalpel.

What was the question again? Maybe I'm stoopid but he said a warranty replacement so how do you get a Scalpel or Tallboy replacement from Specialized?
