I bought this light from CWC roughly 3 years ago... it decided this weekend that it didnt want to work anymore. it doesnt seem to be the battery because when you plug the light connector into the battery connector theres a flash of life from the on/off button at the rear of the light.

does anyone have one of these Ryder lights? is it a throw away or is there somewhere it can be looked at and repaired?

Open it up and take a look inside the head, it should be possible to unscrew the top part. Measure if there is current to the LED. Maybe you could see a lose wire inside.

These are called CREE lights on eBay. There are tons there and they are pretty cheap, although you wait ages, there are some guys on the hub that sell these for about double the price.

Mine was doing the same thing.  After much playing and fiddling, I worked out there was a loose connection in one of the connector plugs.  Cut both off plus about 5cm of cable either side and put new ones on and now 100%.  Total cost R15.00.  Worth trying.

Also another chap, Craig Wright, sells similar products for good prices.

Give Craig a shout.  He will make a plan I am sure.  His goods are as good as the other overpriced stuff.  I have both so it is IMHO.

The guarantee so take care of it, I have a problem after many years with a Ryder pump, took it back to CWC without a receipt and the agents fixed / replaced the faulty part for me. They have excellent backup.
