I use rotor 2x10 q rings

I definitely feel a difference on climbs and more constant power. different effects can be achieved by using the 3 different setup chain ring bolt positions of the chain ring relative to the crank

Oh well, guess I missed the Wolftooth, it's out of stock now, and the AB is still giving the same error, I assume that one also got snatched up. Just left the office for 15 mins...

sorry, It may have been me. Ordered one earlier this morning and it went through ok

After contemplating for a while, I finally went oval yesterday by fitting a Rotor Q-ring to my XX1 groupset on my hardtail. This bike is mostly used for early morning road training rides and occasionally is taken off road. For the purpose of my training, the bike was fitted with a 38T XX1 chainring with a standard 42-10 cassette. I opted for a 36T Q-ring to make off road a bit easier without having to change the chainrings every time. I took the bike for a quick road ride yesterday and chose a familiar 30km loop with 3 climbs totalling about 450m so that I could do a comparison. At first the oval ring felt weird, but this only lasted about 3km, and started to feel normal again. The pedalling seemed smoother with a higher cadence and the 3 climbs were definitely easier. I shaved about 5 minutes off my normal time for the same route under similar conditions, and can either attribute this to the Q-ring, or the fact that I was caught in the rain half way through my ride. To justify my investment, I am rather hopeful that the faster time was not because of the rain. In conclusion, I am content with my decision to go oval and can't wait to take the bike off road.

All seems fine on my end. Only 1 each of Wolftooth left in 104BCD.

Wolf Direct Mount Oval GXP will also be uploaded during the day.

When will you be getting new stock of the AbsoluteBlack Oval chainrings?

Rode with an oval chainring for the first time this weekend. Coming off a 32t round ring, onto a 34t Wolf Tooth oval. Did an 84km ride with 2000m climbing. Top end was greatly improved, 32t max 46km/h, 34t oval was 55km/h. Although it does not have the same granny, climbing did not seem any more difficult. Must agree that it does feel more 'punchy' up the short, steep climbs, where you do seem to get more traction. Legs were tired, but the ride was faster on the oval. Does need more testing to give a definite answer, but so far I would say the oval ring seems to work better (for me).
