Riding with tubbies

why would you need a team car? A clever person invented slime and it works like charm.

Bad idea imo - how do you clean the old latex out? At some point that latex ball could give your wheel a speed wobble.

I weigh 89kg, ride on 12 bar with Assos bibs but I am not telling you must age..... :D

Geepers, 12 bar is a lot - tires and saddle are the primary factors for ride comfort on a road bike imo.

The max rated pressure is not the max recommended pressure.

I used 6.8 bar for road racing, 5.5 bar for very wet conditions or criteriums where there were rough paving - no snakebite problems with tubbies.(my racing weight was 69kgs)

For TTs I used 8.5 bar.

I concur. Some okes in here pomp kliphard. Although below 7 Bar I worked straight through the rubber.

I do 8 Bar on 72kgs, 22mm front and back on training and racing wheels.

I sometimes train with them, but I am very lucky and have an incredible missus.

She's always on standby for me. :D

Sometimes she follows me with the SUV on the road bike.

She often washes my MTB after a muddy race.

When I get out the shower, the thorns have been removed and bike is squeaky clean.

In fact she even cleans the gas braai after a braai ;) .[/quot

The first half almost sounds believable. Zatek for racing, I understand.
