No dude, you know that stuff needs addressing. Come now...

But agreed - that track is awesome!

Yeah, of course.  I was just really not in the mood for the obvious and oblivious.

How does it compare to Tokai ? Not the DH routes, the other trails.

Planning to go ride this one but need to know what size ball bearings I need to pack...

N

The technical features are on par with the DH trails that were in Tokai, and in some places more "technical" - not necessarily bigger or as big, just more technically challenging.

In places it's also like the Jonkers Double Black was, and places of Canaries.

In short - PROPER XCO. But as Nico says, with B & C lines.

It's not ALL technical though. There are some seriously sweet flowy bits with drops and jumps, tight off camber corners, bermed corners etc.

In fact, it's the kinda course that would make me want to get a tightly wound XC race machine. I know how much fun it was aboard a very much too small for me hardtail, so can imagine what it would be like on, say, a Vipa or Scalpel with wide bars & short stem...

Commitment, gewig terug, liggies op die agter briek, bitter min indien enigsins voorbriek. Maag op die saal. Fokus op die exit en jou lyn sal self daar uitkom.

Persisting with what I said earlier to me it really is like a longer, amped up, version of My Roots with added rock garden.

Its got the steps, a rock drop, roots, some smaller drops and nice flow.

And I have upset myself again.

To be fair I did break the wrist while rock climbing. If you think drop-offs are scary, wait till the piece of rock you are hanging onto breaks off.

I have a lot of scars from mountain biking, progression can be a hard-won battle. That being said, my worst injuries have been from from rugby and action netball.

I've heard that the attrition rate in pro action netball is like

I am also a firm believer that falling off is the best mtb school...

I finally did that one rock drop today   And a few of the other A-stuff. For me this was quite a achievement...for others (like that youngster on his Santa Cruz) it was just another day of practice in Stellies.

There was a crazy amount of people practicing today. Also, some poor guy got what seems to be a concussion today.
