Does anybody know of the Mangaung classic in Bloemfontein is still happening on the 1st of November 2015?

This race is indicated on the Argus cycle tour website as a seeding race, but I'm battling to find any more info on the net.

Any info will be appreciated!!!

Mangaung pulled out as title sponsor last year and the PPA got involved to keep it alive. It is listed on the Free State Cycling Calender as well but unfortunately no further info available.

As Fanie suggested your best bet might be to contact PPA or fscycling might be able to assist.

didn't OFM pull out

It was initially the OFM Classic, then I think it was the Mangaung OFM Classic for one year and when OFM pulled out it was the Mangaung Classic. Think this was just for one year though. But don't quote me on this, not 100% sure.

OFM Classic since forever

Pick & Pay OFM Classic until 2006 (I think)

MTN OFM Classic until 2012 (I think)

Mangaung OFM Classic 2013

Mangaung Classic 2014

I see online entries have been extended until Sunday.

Gives me time to try and test if I would survive it, or if my knee niggle delayed my training too much.

Darn this age thing!

Darn this age thing!

Just give it a bash regardless :D

Decided to enter last night, about 10 minutes before entries closed.

My knee gave me no issues during this Saturday's 45km MTB event, nor last night's 44km on the trainer, so at least that shouldn't get the better of me next Sunday.

Hi Hubbers!

Doing my first Mangaung Cycle challenge this weekend!

Not from Bloem so I have no idea what to expect from the route....Any advice / inside info will be much appreciated!!

Also how big is the field normally? Is a 2h45 a realistic target? I normally challenge a sub 3 on races with much more climbing.

Thanks!!
