My ex always used to say "but it's just a bicycle. I don't get what the fuss is all about?"

Don't worry you can use that in reverse when they finally notice that a white hard tail in the shed has turned I to a black dual sus with red rims and gold rings....

"but it's just a bicycle. I don't get what the fuss is all about?"*

* also useful phrase when talking to Outsurance when insuring your current ride right up into your next dream bike category / price bracket (and so, so, so *not* hoping to get bumped on that solitude track round the front of table mountain track that stops at each car park next to De Wall.
