walkerr Posted September 15, 2015 Share Was away when this got back on the calendar - probably wasn't going to make it this year anyway. Next year maybe. Great to see it alive again
Pulse Posted October 4, 2015 Share So I did my first 180km solo MTB ride yesterday, followed by a 60km today. Not as bad as I expected, but I definitely need a LOT more time in the saddle

Pulse Posted October 6, 2015 Share Are you going solo? What time are you aiming for? We're in for the 4-person team mixed - less than 10 weeks left. Hi SiasGlad you eventually got sorted with an entry. Yes, solo... I am just hoping to finish, but will pace for a 22 hour finish. I don't have a huge ultra-endurance cycle background, so am stressing lots! I'm aiming at doing another 240km + ride next weekend.
sias Posted October 6, 2015 Share If you've done a few ultras you should be fine.Don't go too hard in the first half and leave something in your legs for the last 12km of stage 2.

Pulse Posted October 6, 2015 Share Ishhh, this is a lot of riding with some time to go, don't kill yourself this early. I agree... But I'm not working this week, and have some hectic work weeks coming up closer to the time. Wanted to get some long rides in this week while I have the time. Also give me the opportunity to try feeding etc., and make a plan if something doesn't work
