Numbers can be collected from :

Cycle Lab Megastore, Fourways; Friday 4 September 2015, from 09:00 – 17:00

OR

Sportsmans Warehouse, Princess Crossing Shopping Centre; Saturday 5 September 2015, from 10:00 – 16:00 - (011) 768 0167

Agreed Talus - collecting race packs from traffic congested or far flung places, mostly during working hours is quite a drag. I now have a 40 km trip to Roodepoort to collect the pack.

I am not going to pick up my number. I cannot find a contact number. Look out for the unfit guy with a home printed number in AL.

You can collect on Sunday morning

I enjoyed my first road race in over 15 years.

the head wind was tough, I think I road a good race, saved some legs in the beginning and was able to use it over the last 30km and punched past a number of riders.

It would be a tough ride if it was done in reverse.

I saw a lot of bottles go flying and a few almost hit me

Yes , had to ride over one bottle as at least 5 bottles were rolling around from the guys ahead of me.

I never had this issue so it must mean the guys bottle cages not correct.

Dome 2 Dome will cover a lot of this again.

Which parts will be the same?

After a fall a few weeks ago I was descending very gingerly.

Almost like hill. Started at front of bunch and by bottom I was at the back.

I guess one month after being introduced to cycling and getting on a road bike is not sufficient to have dealt with this race. Got yanked at 60kms for missing the cut-off. Need to up my training drastically!

Some lessons are learnt the hard way.

Nice descent though.....

Know that this is a tough first race, keep up that training and you will be all good for the 947

Hi to all bikehubbers, yesterday at the Wilro 100 race, I lost a wheel - Campag Euro Rear wheel, at an accident involving 2 riders in the elite bunch with +/- 40kms to go.  Please let me know if you know of anybody that might have picked it up.  Please contact me Moses Venceslau: 082 458 3687 or e-mail me at moses@allbikes.co.za.

Your assistance will be greatly appreciated.
