Hahaha. Not if I can help it but thanks. I'm pretty excited about the men's TT so I think I will be doing the cheerleading. Glad Wiggins isn't there to irritate me. Well I think he is not.

Did you hear them talking about the chain Wiggins used for his hour record? A one off and it cost $10 000. Insane. They were talking about it during the ladies TT.

Yes I heard about that chain. It was the lubricant manufacturer that made the chain for his hour record bike. Did you hear them also mention how they prefer to ride the same gear the whole TT so the chain is as straight as possible and reduce friction. Marginal gains getting hectic.

I know he probably is past his best, But I really hope Sparticus can pull this off and the road race. Still my favourite cyclists.

That's the big tragedy for me: he's out.

And in fact, in such a low mental state at the moment from what he's been saying recently, that I won't be surprised if we hear him announcing his retirement soon. Sounds like he's had enough of the sport.

For the mens road race, all my hopes now rest on Tommeke.

The Belgian team have brought their Dream Team to Richmond. And what a team it is.

It's going to be all about the Belgians against the rest of the world this Sunday.

Ja it's been a tough year for him. Shame..

And a course that suits him.. but you can only break your back so many times before you have to start listening to your body and just rest..

Well, he had his glory. Still feel sorry for him that he missed 2012 Olympic gold medal. If it wasn't for that fall at the end, I'm pretty sure he would have taken Gold and not the Astana druggie.

I'll root for Sagan now. Is Gilbert in the Belgium team?

I hear you but I think it's a bit hopeful. I think he is more likely to ride for one of his team mates. He has always been a favorite on mine.

I remain hopeful :)

The Belgian's tend to have so many options and they like to use them all as a multiple pronged attack. They might just keep Tommeke in the bunch for a possible end sprint while giving guys like van Avermaet, Vanmarke and Gilbert freedom to launch mid-range attacks. Let's see....

I bet there are a few team owners who wish they can get their hands on the Belgians for the classics! Some serious racers in that national team.

On a side note I see Tommeke is keen for another crack at the PR. Going for fifth win if memory serves.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR SUNDAY

So depending on who you are, the weather report for Sunday is either looking great or crap.

22 degrees, overcast and raining, and 20 - 30 km/h winds.

Not the greatest news for sprinters, but the Classics stars will be rubbing their hands in glee.

Slippery cobbled climbs & tight wet city roads, the finale will be something else with attacks from all over the place in these 4km to the finish. In fact, I think the attacks will start at the end of the penultimate lap because more than a few guys will think they have a chance from 20km out...

The final 4 km:
