Trail In PE

Just how safe would it be to ride the trail next to Cyclopro on William Moffat alone at 5:30am?

It would be a perfect ride for me. It's close to my office and could shower at Profiles Gym afterwards.

Next question. I see that they have been chopping down trees. Is it just the removal of the alien vegetation or are they going to build there? Is the trail still available?

I wouldn't ride by myself at that time of the morning, maybe take a tazer with you.

There are rumours that Cyclo Pro removed the trees to build a pump track there, I hope its true...

Hi guys

Slightly off topic, but I really need to know please. I am an old PE guy currently in Cape Town, calling the Tygerberg Moutain Bike Trails my home, and at this stage I am returning to PE.

Now I last stayed in PE in 1997, and did not mtb at that stage.

My question being, are there any lekker trails around ? and by this I mean single track with jumps and drops etc.

And how many and where are they situated.

Thanks

Lots of trails here, but I don't think we have anything too hectic atm.

Hopewell is lekker, esp the longer route.

The Vipa trail at Slipperfields as well

Addo too.

Norm Hudlin is tame, but good for training

The valley (trail behind cyclo pro) has some technical sections, but nothing too hectic

Haven't ridden crossways in a long time

I grew up riding my BMX in the Baakens Valley, and I believe there are now some proper trails. I think there is a short one off the William Moffet, behind Profiles gym/Walmer Park area. But I have heard of  bike attacks with pangas so I wouldnt ride alone.
