Thor Buttox Posted July 14, 2016 Posted July 14, 2016 And that seems to be what happened.. 1 fan fell down and the motorbike had to stop. Next time ride over the fool. The daily 'Darwin Atapuma' award. I see it now...
Mntboy Posted July 14, 2016 Posted July 14, 2016 We need to have a longconversation about security here. Itwas unacceptable what happenedtoday. - Bardet's thoughts on today's incident. It's pretty simple - you use barriers!
Spokey Posted July 14, 2016 Posted July 14, 2016 Well.......lets see if they can sort out the crowd control before the Alpine stages, they do have a bit of time!
Gen Posted July 14, 2016 Posted July 14, 2016 Well.......lets see if they can sort out the crowd control before the Alpine stages, they do have a bit of time!Whahahahahaha.. fat chance it's been 3 years of vehicle incidents and they still haven't sort that out.. what is the chance that they actually bring in more barriers
Gen Posted July 14, 2016 Posted July 14, 2016 Mmm I still reckon there are handbags flying around.. I think some teams to will be appealing the time gaps given...
Gen Posted July 14, 2016 Posted July 14, 2016 So is this how it went down Porte and Froome got Mollemas time at the finish, Quintana, Valv & Tejay got Yates/Aru/... time at the finish.
Thor Buttox Posted July 14, 2016 Posted July 14, 2016 Mmm I still reckon there are handbags flying around.. I think some teams to will be appealing the time gaps given...Which teams? Pls tell me Astana... That will be the coup d'isgrace
scotty Posted July 14, 2016 Posted July 14, 2016 Mmm I still reckon there are handbags flying around.. I think some teams to will be appealing the time gaps given... Mainly British. A pointless and worthless argument, deriving from the image of old ladies having a handbag (purse) fight at the bus stop."Oh, put your handbags away".
T-Bob Posted July 14, 2016 Posted July 14, 2016 What a mess of a finale. from the crowds to the motos to the crash to Aru. Phew. There's going to have to be some changes with more people there to selfie themselves and get on TV than respect the riders. Well done on Froome for handling it how he did and on the UCI / ASO for amending the result in light of the problems but I can't quite get how Froome managed to increase his lead in such a situation. It's an unknown situation. He was ahead of Yates and Quintana when the crash happened for sure but you just don't know what the rest of the stage held in that moment as it never happened. If you took a snapshot of the Andorra stage in the final play Dan Martin was all over everyone, looked like riding away and then faded to well behind at the line. So you just can't say and almost double the advantage on 'what if'. I've no doubt Froome would have made it to the line in that position, he is looking every inch the strongest but the credibility of that decision and the impact to the other close GC contenders is slightly uncomfortable.Either way, it's a stage to go into the books as an infamous one for many reasons. Le Tour hey? Wow.
Gen Posted July 14, 2016 Posted July 14, 2016 Now can they pls penalise Aru for his antics earlier in the stage?
Gen Posted July 14, 2016 Posted July 14, 2016 Which teams? Pls tell me Astana... That will be the coup d'isgraceLol
Thor Buttox Posted July 14, 2016 Posted July 14, 2016 Now can they pls penalise Aru for his antics earlier in the stage? They did. Him and Landa. On your form there. 50 Swiss francs. Lands for getting a bottle of water within the last 20km. Aru for being pushed like a Nibali. . Go figure.
