I had a set on a new Merida I bought a few years back. I was 110kg at the time and rode the bike hard, they stood up to my weight, soled the bike and rims separately, rims were true as they day I got them... They very heavy tho

Completely destroyed the front rim on my maiden voyage on Jalcos. I weigh 83 kgs.

Would advise anybody who has the misfortune of receiving them on a bike to replace them immediately with something else as they're definitely not safe for off-road use

In both cases the pics appear to show joint failures. I am not convinced it is a rider weight problem.

The LBS and Agent must share some responsibility for selling a bike with components that are not rated for the rider's weight.

Unethical to hide behind a weight limit clause when the inevitable occurs, unless there is proof this was pointed out to the customer before purchase.

Since it is a newish bike I am pretty sure the rider has some protection under the CPA for this as the product is clearly not fit for purpose (by the supplier's own admission given for purpose of rejecting a claim). However, time limitations apply to CPA protections so act quickly and get all interactions with supplier in writing or record them.

Imagine if they sold climbing ropes this way!!!
