Pretty sure you should be able to warranty it.

 

If not have someone rebuild the BB area with a BSA adapter soo you can use english BBs and move away from PF30

 

 

 

 

 

**** I hate PF BB's just BTW and honestly think they had the right intention but just ended up making a "Fack-up" so far the best solution yet is the one from praxis because it always goes in 100% parallel.

 

But still English BBs are just some much easier WRT to almost  everything you want from a BB.....

I've just had exactly the same thing happen to me on my Scott frame and Scott have warrantied the frame thank goodness!

 

Just a question, once I get the new frame, what would you suggest is the best option to stop this from happening again??

Get the BB where the 2 halves screw into each other to enhance the stiffness of the BB shell. As I explained, Enduro and Wheels Manufacturing have this. Also check out if Praxis have one.

 

The Scott having the same problem does not surprise me, as the Scott frame is manufactured in the same factory as my son's Giant frame.

Giant said that they will re fit the sleeve free of charge (if it is re-fit able). Sounds like a common problem on carbon bikes.

That just means they are going to re-epoxy the sleeve back into the frame.
