What an amazing experience (and privilege) to do it with him. So hang in there, ride the trainer , enjoy the whole thing - they do grow up really quickly.

Awesome, my son is 4 and getting into his bike now 13km is one hell of a ride for a 5 year old....hats off to the lad!!
