Upgrade Fox evolution with fit4

Must be a 2009/10

On a 100mm fork you won't notice much difference tbh. The main reason for this upgrade is that the CTD cartridges weren't Fox's finest invention. The RL and RLC are still pretty decent, especially the FIT versions.

Hi Droo, it made a massive difference on my 100mm fork on my Anthem. Night and day difference. I think your conclusion isn't perfectly accurate on that one.  The slow speed compliance is vastly improved and so to is my midstroke.

On the CTD fork, it would make a difference. On the previous iterations of the Fox, pre-CTD, not as much.

Yes, CTD was shaaaaaite.

I can change my old Talas (110-140mm) to a float as mentioned but could i do anything better to it?

Can this Fit4 be fitted to any older fox fork?

CTD is so shocking I wonder how it got past quality control.... from day one I complained and Fox said it was all in my mind....  upgraded to Fit4 and am loving it.

OK, got you.

RL nd RLC were pretty good, well sorted out dampers. Upgrading from RLC/Rl to FiT4 is still a very good upgrade and you'll feel the difference when running at speed on a longish descent. The FiT4 is more consistent.

Over CTD,..... FiT is damper reinvented

disappointed in what way? Still a noodle?

where do I start. New out the box, couldn't get more than 15% travel regardless of air setting. Sent it back ,something to do with positive & negative air pressure and had to add 5ml of higher density oil.

As I wanted it plusher and mine is set to 120 which apparently it comes standard like that, was advised to try with out the token. So I did. Now I get full travel but the fork is harsh on corrugated parts and very vague in the corners.

So I put the token back in and now the cornering is way better with much more grip . But the small bump compliance that i read so many brilliant reviews about is not great to say the least.

Have adjusted air pressures, rebound settings and can't seem to dial in both cornering confidence and small bump compliance . Ride mostly in open mode .

Am just very disappointed in a fork which was bloody expensive.

Am wishing I had gone for an mrp loop sl.

One word:

TALAS

Just don't. The Float NA is amazing. Travel adjust forks are always a compromise.

I think you may have a damaged compression circuit. Ask omnico to replace the cartridge under warranty. Since it wouldn't give you full travel out the box this should have been done immediately. Likely a jammed or sticking valve.
