Anyone have any of these laying around? i see they are only R100 on CRC but shipping will make it pointless. i installed them recently on my SS project but i need to remove them as the BB needs replacing. 

 

Unless there is another way to remove them safely?

nope. need the tool... i had one but sold it with my cranks

I feel your pain. I have the exact same problem.

But i have become good friends with the mechanics at the shops

You only need the tool to take the crank off, so you can take the bits home, do what needs doing and then reassemble at leisure.

I wont need to remove every week obviously, so i think for now the LBS should be fine
