Saddle advice??

Hi guys

I made the mistake of letting my old bike go with my favourite saddle still attached to it. It was a Syncros AM that I got for a bargain. Unfortunately I cannot find another anywhere.

I'm looking for something sub R800, really not worried about weight (my quads are big enough :P  ), and a lot more worried about comfort.

So, any suggestions for a replacement?

The Rapide saddle is good value for money and I find it very comfortable.

Saddles are very personal though so what I like might not work for you.

Thanks, see it's on special.

No idea how wide it is? Only the weight is listed on the site.

I'm with Rocket-Boy with the personal issue. I have become a saddle collector because I cannot find a saddle that I like. Ask your bike shop if they have test saddles or if they can get test saddles. I think Dunkeld used to be able to get Specialized test saddles. And I got a WTB test saddle at Trailhead.

Not sure about width but its very similar to the Fizik Gobi which is quite similar to the Syncros.

Good morning all.

Time to breath some fresh air into this old thread. I just placed an order for the Rapide Saddle, judging by previous dealings with Kiwi it will probably be delivered before somebody gets the opportunity to reply  . But anyhow, how is the saddle holding up? I currently have a Sella Italia SLR on my bike but it hurts like hell. My rear is still sensitive after a 3 hour ride Sunday morning.

Let us know your experience on it when you get to test it out.

I have only done 3 hours on it since arrival, life has been a bit chaotic. So far the saddle is comfy with enough support without feeling "flexy" under you. Also the build quality seems very good, only did minimal water and mud but no signs of the material coming loose. All in all I am a happy camper, decent saddle for an awesome price!!

I've got Rapide saddles on all 4 of my bikes. They are the same Velo saddle that  comes out on  the Giant Defy Carbon - just with a different cover. Great value if it suites your butt.
