pellieg Posted December 3, 2015 Posted December 3, 2015 HI Guys, Just want to find out if anyone has experienced a issue with the new front thru axle on the 2016 Giant anthem advance X At first i though it was a cool system but it keeps rattling loose. Anyone else with the same issue? did you find a solution or did you replace it and just put a normal thru axle in .

The ring has been adjusted already but still rattles loose

Its the 2016 Giant anthem Advanced x comes with rockshok sid , with the new kind of thru axle , which locks but the actual leave is able to still be turned ,

Ask the guys at the shop. Ask them if it's normal, or if it needs to be taken in. Or - are you sure it's tight enough?
raptor-22 Posted December 3, 2015 Posted December 3, 2015 It's the same maxle on the rs-1 and no I've not had a problem with it coming loose. You may not have it adjusted correctly

If i understand the problem correctly. When the lever is folded back(open) it exposes a small allen key slot but that is the old RS so i might be wrong
raptor-22 Posted December 3, 2015 Posted December 3, 2015 I just think he's not got enough pressure on the cam when the lever is closed. It's not the same as the rear axle which you just screw closed. The maxle is like a qr skewer. You screw it closed lightly and fold the lever over to apply pressure. Not enough pressure and it will rattle loose

Captain Fastbastard Mayhem Posted December 3, 2015 Posted December 3, 2015 Is it this Thru Axle?If this is the one, there's a small allen bolt Grub Screw on the cam in the lever side, that needs to be tightened a little bit. Is that the one?
