That's for sure!

We'll be riding steel frames and cheap china group sets very soon!

Unless we SA'ers can start to make our own cycle stuff.

I'm a firm believer that we have enough clever local engineering talent to create proper local cycle gear.

What is wrong with steel frames?

I have 5 amazing bicycles from roadie to long travel HT and all are steel. Only my trail bike is allu...

Just asking, not picking a fight......

good old produx ... but I do not think they produce locally anymore.

used to have a factory in CT when they were still actively selling those yellow roadie and MTB's .... their dually back in the day was actually an ok bike

I once used an elastomer shock from Produx. Were they the same guys?

I actually looked at one of these... http://babahbikes.com/ which would have completed my stable quite nicely...

The build/design prices are cheap, but shipping was about R350 dollars ex tax and VAT.
