Thanks for the words of support.

Currently I have a fogged haze of a hangover. Three to many glasses of wine last night pondering the many what if's and what should have been in recognizing the signs earlier.

I have had my little wobble, but now it is time for the big boy undies. Suck this nonsense up and get on with what is needed to get back into shape.

First, I am going to be glued to the screen come Munga start. Jealous as all hell - but I am not going to miss this.

Secondly. Mr Munga has been amazing in his support of this issue. So he has allowed me to roll over my entry to next year. Mrs Slowbee also agreed. So guess who has the first entry for 2017 !!!!!!!!

bacon and eggs, cheese griller, hashbrown and some fried mushroom should sort out the liver right ?

It is this approach and attitude that makes you a legend... well done sir. now get this sorted asap so that you can start training for 2017.

Well I'm not one for those Long slow rides,,so it's roady high intensity,60k efforts 4 times a week and 2 ,4 hour rides on weekends,

hope it's enough, starting to take it bit easier now,I am just praying we don't have the wind of last year.

Hi Slowbee,

Can you please send me the details of the WTB rep in CT?

Thanks

where in CT are you ?

the rep referred me to Flandria Cycles in Stellenbosch, they have access to the entire range and are super helpful. Hell the owner did not know me from a bar of soap but was willing to let me take the saddle without paying for it to at least try it on one ride.

You wont go wrong here.

Wow,

Thanks so much Slowbee. I'm from Brackenfell. I've tried and tested quite a number of saddles and spend quite a few bucks on saddles. It seems to be fine in the beginning but after longer rides, 120km+ things started getting uncomfortable. I need a saddle for long rides. I have read only good  from the WTB saddles. I would like to speak to someone who can give me advice on which one to test. I want to enter the 36One again and I'm also thinking of doing the Karoo Dash next year. I will definitely pop in by Flandria.

Many people have good things to say about scoop saddles. Google them to do some homework. I know of a few guys who had them on the munga.

I have to wait till Feb before I can get on the bike again.

Unfortunately Flandria does not sell the WTB anylonger. They phoned the rep frm jhb. He can ship a WTB Rocket but they dont have any demo saddles. So now I dont know......
