Does your cycling mag subscription arrive

I subscribed to the Ride mag well over a year ago and was enjoying receiving it once a month in my post box. So at the Argus I signed up for the Bicycling mag as I was picking it up from time to time and enjoying the read.

It took the best part of 6 month for me to a mag out of them, I phoned them repetitively and eventually received 2. I have received 2 scheduled deliveries thereafter. I have now just given up responding to there sms that I'm going too receive it in the next 5 days.

 

Take into consideration I received 12 out of 12 Ride mags and live in an uptown suburb with an ADT bicycle patrol across the street from me and Bicycling advised me they have a courier company delivering these magazines.

 

Please tell me if you are having the same issue with any subscription. I was wondering if I should give it up as a bad joke getting cycling subscriptions. I get the Ride these days as part of my Cyclelab subscription

I had a two year subscription to bicycling. tbh the magazine is a repeat of the previous year's issues with a slight change in the headlines/article titles so you are not really missing anything.

 

The stuff on their website is also the same as the magazine. It's just delayed by a few weeks

I have the same experience as Dave above. Ride mag arrives every month in my post box. Bicycling not so great.

I've been subscribed to BicyclingSA for almost a year now. I usually see the magazine on the shelves before I get the sms telling me the magazine is on it's way. Thereafter it usually takes more than a week and a bit to get to me. Maybe it's because I am subscribed through Discovery Vitality and we get served last because we are paying the lowest price?

I subscribe to Bicycling SA also but through Discovery and i get the magazine half way through the month. So Jan's issue came half way through Dec and Feb came half way through Jan.

I subscribe to Mountain Bike Action from the USA. Dirt cheap 180.00 useless ronds for 12 issues.

The MARCH 2016 issue will be available sometime next week.

Yep, almost a MONTH in advance + you are up to date with the latest and greatest.

I stopped subscribing to the local magazines years ago. To much repetition.

Used to subscribe to both ride and bicycling for years, Then went digital for both on the Ipad and TBH its just not the same as the real thing. Also started to realise the articles where often repeated and I was getting less and less out of the mags. So now I just get them when something catches my eye. I do follow them both on twitter so see most of the articles via links on twitter.
