What are your thoughts about waiting for jan when everyone is normally broke...to see if the prices will be cheaper...i put my piggy bank away for now because everyone is spending like crazy for christmas...bonuses etc etc...the only concern is the *** exchange rate.

I honestly cant think of what happens at that time of year. My guess is that most stores expect it to be a quieter month and take it a little easier.

 

I dont spend on Christmas specials because I have just received a bonus, I do it because the specials are normally quite good!

All of the above assuming I actually need something.

They're not a cycling shop but they have some good deals on HR watches. With all the internet fraud out there I'm scared of using a site I've never heard of!

They also received a 702 Small business award a couple of years ago for good service.

I recently had a very good experience purchasing from http://www.cycleteknix.co.za/. They don't have an e-commerce option as yet but if you mail and enquire they are quick to respond. 

 

I noticed that they have the best prices on quite a lot of stuff.

Hmmm. So I placed an order for the fenix last week Friday afternoon, but by Wednesday today the package hasn't even been shipped yet. I'm used to service from CWC and Buycycle (and other online shops) where you get your tracking number the same day you've placed an order. The fastest I've received a package was 2 days after placing the order, the longest 5 working days. 

 

So needless to say I am so far not very impressed with ShopandShip. Their site says the item SHIPS withing 2-3 working days, I initially read it as DELIVERED within 2-3 working days, so my mistake. Guess I'm just too flippen impatient, but speedy delivery is after price the most important thing I look for when buying online.

They do indicate whether items are in stock or not. But yeah, I'm also starting to think that maybe they ran out of stock and forgot to update the website. Because surely it doesn't take 3 working days to get a parcel to the couriers?

Just an update on ShopandShip. After I emailed them about not having a tracking number yet one of their staff apologised, it seems they were indeed out of stock. But that same afternoon I got another email saying the package has been shipped, and the courier company phoned me this morning, I'll have it by 9:30 today. So not bad at all, 4 working days since I placed the order, and next day delivery since reaching the couriers.
