2:40 (160 mins) would equal 1500 points for 150-209 minutes at more than 80%

just clocked 8000 km on strava :) ...wow it just seems like such a big number.

at my lowest weight since i started in January 2015 and the lowest this year ...considering i went up to 111 kg in Febuary this year  :)

just need to get a little thinner (below 100 kg) then i can start focusing on the faster part of my goal again....still got a couple more months to go :)

104.7 kg today [emoji482]

over 300 km in 7 days...man i dont know how these okes do 300 km per day...when i get off the bike and  walk around it feels like the saddle is still attached to my butt.

time to start training for the Amashova in 84 days time.

Good chance I will be doing the Amashova on the treksta and not the rattin red rocket.

Trek has been upgraded... a compact crank (50-34) new chain and cassette(11-28)...setup correctly slight chain rub when riding in the big front ring and small back gear...back wheel had all the spokes replaced...I have purchased a spare wheel set...fitted a cassette and had it all lined up so that I can swop the wheels without any adjustment to the gears...

took it out for a ride today...was going to to swop the wheels and try out the new ones...by the time I got back from the ride today my body was absolutely pap...leg muscles felt like someone was hitting them with a plank...so I canned that idea...will try them out when I have rested...everything is working Leka...and the back wheel feels strong...will have it checked after a few rides just to make sure everything is tight and true.

My IDT is almost finished setting up...sourced a working earphone extension...now i can crank the tunes while sweating my butt off...i was going to get blue tooth earphones but i prefer the iphone ones...so a cable it is.

trying out strava premium...comes 3 months free with your garmin device

It's also a result of the hectic calorie restriction, mate. Body can't adapt to that and any lurgies.

Playing in the snow didnt help...temp was -0.5 yesterday.

That is why i want to restructure a few things...and start a proper training program...i have a few choices.

Garmin connect...free with garmin connect very basic.

Strava...which i can access with the 3 months free premium.

i bought a book for R20 at a flee market...the lance armstrong performance program.

And i have the book fast after 50

Now just to decide which one to follow...i think any one i choose will steer me i. The right direction.

I have no excuses...the indoor trainer is setup with everything and the trek is sorted....the last 4-5 kg to drop to below 100 kg will happen soon..

There is a reason it only cost 20bucks...

Regarding getting sick, probably down to too many changes too soon. You put in serious mileage last week, a massive jump from what you usually do, and then seriously cutting down on food.

But well done on making progress

You can structure some pretty lekker things with GC, and pull them through to the 520. Intervals, repeats, LSD, HR targeted training, you name it. I'd make that the first port of call.

Lance Armstrong's book - essentially - dope to win. That's it. Chuck it in the bin or read for ****s n giggles.

Strava - good for monitoring progress, Premium is worth it if you're REALLY going to monitor improvement with segments, track time in HR zones etc. It works.

More HIIT, more food to help your body adjust.

Can I vote for a book? Fast after 50 - if it's Joe Friel.  that one. He's really good.

I recently got a coach - I'm no where in the field, I just want to be the best cycling version of myself. Basically I'm just moving myself from the last quarter of the pack to just under half of the pack. But I'm enjoying my cycling more and I trust this guy, so I don't keep doubting what i'm doing or changing my focus all the time.

 #justsaying I know you didn't ask...

i dont get it...if everyone is so anti lance (because of his performance drugs)...why is the training program he used so popular? not being an "old" avid cyclist and not familiar with past cycling history i must be missing something.

Follow the LA plan, there's nothing wrong with it. It should be compiled by Chris Carmichael whose programs are also on Strava (think it's Strava).
