'Dale Posted January 25, 2016 Posted January 25, 2016 What's happening with Marcel Kittel...is the dude strong again? It's been a PR puzzle as to what happened with him last season - from a virus to depression to laziness / poor discipline Training hard with Ettixx - all to be revealed
Gen Posted January 25, 2016 Posted January 25, 2016 Just checking whether the new year still holds the same fanfare for ol' Sags image.jpegLol Oh yes it does.
Mntboy Posted January 26, 2016 Posted January 26, 2016 And more than that. For me this is going to be an especially important Classics season because it will be the last time we get to watch the two giants of the sport (Tommeke and Spartacus) side by side. Bitter-sweet times ahead. Lots of excitement and anticipation right now, but a lingering sadness in the background because it's the end of an era. Yes we've got so many exciting youngsters coming up, and lots of riders who are capable of winning these Classics right now - brilliant. But 2016 is going to be only about Spartacus and Tommeke for me. If either one of them have more bad luck and crash out for some reason before we can see them in full flight one last time in Flanders or PR, I will be inconsolable. If I am not mistaken both of those storied racers are on four PR wins and both would love to beat the other to do so. Hoping for Spartacus to out race Tommeke into second!

T-Bob Posted January 26, 2016 Author Posted January 26, 2016 Any Dimension Data riders with a chance?Renshaw?BoassonHagen?Cav for Milan San Remo / Kuurne - Brussels - Kuurne / Scheldeprijs EBH: Paris Roubaix / Ronde / E3 / Oomloop / Gent. Other dark horses could be Farrar, Cummings, Haas, Mayer, Pauwls. Not sure who you'd put up as the Ardennes team.

Hoping for Spartacus to out race Tommeke into second! Ok game on... Tommeke is my boy. Come on Tommy, one last time for us please. We need to see all 5 fingers in the air!
tombeej Posted January 27, 2016 Posted January 27, 2016 Old foes. Old friends. An abiding respect between two legends. Thank you for all the memories.
T-Bob Posted January 27, 2016 Author Posted January 27, 2016 Predictions are always dodgy when the season hasn't kicked in and predictions in the classics are even less certain but I'll throw my hat in the ring and go for: Omloop: BoonanK-B-K: CavendishScheldeprijs: KittelMilan San Remo: SaganRonde: VanMarckeParis Roubaix: StybarAmstel Gold: KwiatkowskiL-B-L: Alaphilippe

From what I've read he hasn't even really been able to start proper training yet.
