well it was the easiest race i've ever done, but my index improved by 9 so that's ok...

Has the seeding index been updated with the results from the results for Emperors? I have been to the ASGevents website but my index doesn't reflect the results.

Am I looking in the wrong place?

Thanks! My seeding improved by about 12 points, so chuffed with that.

Working towards a decent start group for 947, any suggestions for good seeding races in GP until then?

What about the Satelite classic 105k should be a good one to improve your rating.

Satellite is great for seeding, even the shorter distance gives you an alright seeding if you don't pop up the climbs and you're not already a bit of a racing snake.

it's the climbing on the other events that make it difficult to improve seeding there.

On these flat events, we finish close to the winners time so that helps a bit.

Depends on whether you're any good at climbing or not. I suffer on these flat rides because I don't have oodles of power to overcome wind resistance, but on climbs, my power to weight ratio means I do relatively well. The climbs also mean you get an alright beta.

my last few races have been the fastest of my life in spite of the drama here and there... seeding still continues to get worse  :cursing:

But the beta is "greater" on the hillier event so sometimes your seeding is better even if your time is worse. I think for some guys its works on a flat event and some a hilly event. Guess its just best to race as often as possible. Also if you can do an event like Geralds carnival city where elites and vets do a longer distance then as an open rider your winning time for that distance would be that of a tandem or A group rider which is normally slower than elite or VA/VB in a race where everyone does the same distance.

total agree with above. I am not a good climber so the flat races are better for me.

my statement should have been as below.

I see now you from KZN so Geralds race wouldn't be an option for you. I'm not familiar with the races down there, We lucky up here that we do have a variety to choose from.

Just remember satellite is to late in the year to count for seeding for this years 94.7

If I remember correctly the last race they use is the race for victory

So do the lost city & race for victory to better your chances

Other options to consider is the the jock and the kremetart

Sorry to hijack the thread but is there any other races in the Gauteng, Limpopo, northwest areas similar to the emperors classic(flat and fast) before 94,7 as I need to improve my seeding.

Thanks

Not true. You can ask for a reseeding which will take your Satellite time into account. At a cost, of course.
