First race here in the UK in 3 weeks time in Wales and I'm expecting mud and rain. I'm thinking of buying a portable pressure washer/jet wash. I've seen a 12v one which plugs into your cigarette lighter and it can also be charged. Has anybody got one or used one ? Or has a recommendation or a negative view.

Cheers

I have a Mobi V-15 and it works very well.

Bought it at CRC on a sale.

Ive got one that I got from some guy in midrand. He was bringing them in from somewhere. Not sure where though. It worked so well we wanted another one and we couldn't get hold of him and eventually did and he said he doesn't do it anymore. Mine just plugs into my 12v and has about a 10/12 litre tank( not 100% sure) it has a hose about 4m long and a decent nozzle/ trigger thing. I can't remember the brand and I know exactly where it is at home but it's behind 40 bags of cement for building a new garage. They should use the cement this week and then I can get to it and find a name. Maybe you lucky and he bought it in from the UK.

I've been using one of these as a mobile parking lot bike wash, as my flat at the moment doesn't have hosepipe access to wash my bike.

Works pretty well, and probably saves a bit of water.

I also use one of these when we go to places like eselfontein. Werk baie lekker.

At home I just use a hosepipe with a gardena dualsided connector, that gives a lekker spray when you hold your finger over it.

I haven't used the pressure washer in ages, it is just too much of a hassle to get started and you really have to take care to not spray into bearings.
