Just trying to get where it fits in to our landscape and it's ride / handling style.I would say probably towards an eduro rig. Does not climb that great to be honest. Lets put it this way. I wont take it for a 60km CX race or stage race. The Spitty is more playful where the Prime a tank that allows you to make errors and still make it out in one piece. I see BlackSnow mentions it does not climbing very well....lets say it is heavier than the Phantom in terms of feel on the climbs, but I have found it climbs far better than expected!Its a big bike, make no mistake! If one is looking for a out and out trail bike, the Spitfire wins in the long travel category. It can be playful, it can be aggressive...depends on the rider.The Prime you need to be switched on 100% of the time. It demands aggressive riding, but pays in dividends in spades. It will blast through anything. Strangely enough, the Phantom would be my choice of the one bike to do it all in Cape Town if I was forced to choose one bike to rule them all.......even though it is shorter travel.You can rally the **** out of that bike and it just keeps coming back for more!
