where you located?  Try Solomons in woodmead, they have quite a selection of hangars

I obviously tried the agents first ( evolution cycling) who referred me to Rushsport.

 

Both said the get daily request for Volcan hangers

Just take your old hanger, have managed to replace a bent hanger for a no name chinese frame as well as an old road frame that had no hanger.. that took a bit longer as had to take the frame and try different ones until found one that fitted and worked.

Yip I asked evolution when they importing again , I was told they aren't :-(

 

Rush sport said they have over 380 different hangers non of which work on Volcan. They get supplied from abroad , and Volcan being a local brand is not catered for by their suppliers. He said it's also a problem for other local brands like Titan.

 

Apparently there was a company that made local replicas but theirs was not as strong as the originals and they discontinued .

 

I'm not sure how true this all is because it sounds crazy .

 

I'll attempt to make a temp replace over the weekend .

My brother machined a couple for himself, after someone wanted to charge something like R500. Will check who/how/howmuch

Got a mate with a Volcan and he has been battling for ages to get the correct hanger. The last two he got werent 100% correct and both snapped.

Have you chatted to Rob Booth about hangars? he has a few from Chinese frames usually in stock

Funny you should post this today, as I also collected the ones I ordered from China this morning

 

But they are not a perfect fit , from the bunch I bough these two are the closest , I'll file the one the fit as an interim fix.

 

The black one is the broken one super glued back together in order to compare

 

This is for a Volcan FS2 26" frame , I'm glad to hear they could assist you with a 29" frame rear derailer hanger
