GrumpyOldGuy Posted May 24, 2016 Author Posted May 24, 2016 I said I didn't think Nibali had form at the start and I dont think he has form now, he hasn't had the form of years ago for,.. well, years!His little attacks are an old tactic of his, he uses it all the time, make a small TV attention grabbing attack and hope you scare the others into submission, it seldom works and he hasn't gotten away once on any of his attacks. Great riding by the top 3 today, Valverde is a real racer and Movistar are great tacticians, dont count him out yet for the top spot, he is on a mission now.

Jungels and Chaves have been amazing. Wouldn't be at all surprised to see Jungels n the rainbow stripes one dayYes Jungels has really stepped up, but he used a lot of energy for no real reason riding at the front, maybe its youthful exuberance but it was odd tactics I thought, Amador was out the back and Majka was in the bunch with him, he had no reason to use all that energy and especially to give Nibali a free ride, he would have gained the same placing just sitting in the bunch.
