Damn....4 seconds! Must have been good to watch.

 

Nah, he had over 40 seconds in the last few kilometers. Took the foot of the gas and finished it comfortably.

Swissvan..but how did the peliton (with Quintana) allow Froome to go clear.. does not make sense (sorry only getting the last final kilometers, and they only show Froome with TJ in front)

He wasn't a threat to the overall standing (GC)

I only saw the last 6 km, apparently Froome made a break for it (40k to go) early and was joined by TJ. TJ was about 1'22 behind Quintana on GC so it's not like the leaders could ignore them.

 

Good ride by Froome which despite his saying he was not trying to prove anything does show his form is good

10 riders in the break today, 2'24 on the peleton with +/- 83 km to go Froome, Verona, Amador, Albasini, Kelderman, Armee, Grmay, Moser, Coppel et Bardet

Watched the same "highlights". Weather was pretty grim. I think Froome was just stretching his legs . . .
