OK, just had my leave form signed! Flying over on Wednesday the 7th of December at 9H50 and staying over at Arebbusch, 2km from the start. Can't wait!

Easiest will be at the registration? Otherwise at Joe's Beer House on Wednesday, but some of the guys might only arrive on Thursday...

It differs from year to year.

We got some nice bags and a sweater, along with the obligatory water bottles and some other goodies. One year we got towels and hats...

Solo guys:

What are you eating/drinking at your support vehicles?

I'm thinking soup and kfc at CP3

ProNutro CP4 & 5

Last year I had an ice cold Caste Lite at each Check Point.  I is really like a carrot in front of a donkey when you visualise that cold beer waiting.  Only problem was that I needed to stop to pee about 20 minutes later.

This year it will be 2 x Steri Stumpies mixed with a recovery drink and peanut butter and jam sandwiches and a packet of Cheesenax.

How is the Stri Stumpies on the stomach later on during the ride?

Was thinking for the end, bit perhaps its also a good idea at the CPs

I also typically eat random cr@p... But its difficult to guess what I'd feel like eating, so want to get some ideas on what the support guys must have.

Hi,

Maybe this has been asked before, but I am starting to kek myself, so please excuse me ignorance.

For the Solo dudes, what is you plan to get to the first support point?

Are you guys taking warm clothes for the first 180km? Tools, food, lights etc?

I have been told that you dont need to pack much, and that the water points have good food.

So just take your light, two bottles, mix to top up and some food you might want?

I'm also starting to stress a bit... But planning helps me calm down a bit; so I'm trying to plan.

Patch, the checkpoints (1, 2, 3) are really well stocked, so its just really after that that your support guys need to cater for you.

Waterpoints have the normal stuff, and USN is a sponsor, so they will have their stuff as well.

There are mechanical stations at checkpoints.

Take what you need for the 1st 3 stages (lights, drinks, snacks, normal repair stuff). It should only start to get cold after CP3, so your support can give you your warm stuff. I'm only planning on taking a think fleece, and perhaps long gloves from CP3, and drop again at CP4 or 5
